Jocelyn was born on a sunny July day in Houston, Texas.  Luckily, most of her life was spent in Austin, Texas where her first acting role was "Chicken Little".  Despite Austin's landlocked nature, her first career goal was to be a Marine Biologist.  Her parents took her eventual change of heart remarkably well.  In high school she managed to perform with two different bands, hold a job, and get into the National Honors Society.

She graduated from the College of Fine Arts at The University of Texas in Austin with a BA.  Go Longhorns!  At UT she also performed frequently with the Longhorn Singers, the university's Pop/Broadway ensemble and worked at several of Austin's professional theatres.  Immediately after graduation, she left for Great Britain to attend The London Academy of Performing Arts.  London was an amazing experience on so many levels.  She originated the role of "Demelza" in The Fall of the House of Usher there and was given the opportunity to perform at the Royal Albert Hall during a benefit for the Red Cross.  During the two years of conservatory training, she focused on Classical Acting while learning Stage Combat, Laban Movement, Improvisation, Singing, and Dancing.

After her return to the United States, she chose New York City to be her new homebase.  The national tour of Annie was her first NY job.  Martin Charnin cast and directed her and she had a fabulous year playing the "Star-To-Be" in that show.  Other favorite regional theatre roles are "Mrs. Walker" in The Who's Tommy, "Sally Bowles" in Cabaret, and "Edwin Drood" in The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Simultaneously, Jocelyn started working more and more in film.  From educational narrative films to student films to independent shorts to national commercials, she enjoyed shooting all these pieces immensely.  She looks forward to many, many more. . . . .
